The Alliance for Intellectual Property is a coalition of 20 organisations with an interest in ensuring intellectual property (‘IP’) rights are valued and that a robust, efficient legislative and regulatory regime exists, which enables these rights to be properly protected. Members include representatives of the audio visual, toy, music, games, business software, sports, brands, publishing, retailing and design industries.

 

We are seeking an exceptional person to lead the Alliance with purpose and professionalism, supporting members on policy and lobbying activity and initiating strategy. The person we are seeking for this role should have the following skills and/or experience:

• A well established and effective operator with strong political and/or IP stakeholder connections and a proven record of political communications activity and success.

​

• Experience working within, alongside or on behalf of an IP rights owning or similar sector in a commercial, policy or communications role.

​

• An ability to identify the grass roots strength of the Alliance’s members to create a bottom-up as well as a top down political focus.

​

Candidates may come from a range of different sectors and backgrounds, from the private or public sector.

​

Salary commensurate with experience up to £80k.
