Creator Roundtable

We hosted a roundtable event with Shadow Business Minister Bill Esterson, Chair of the APPG for IP Pete Wishart, and former DCMS Secretary John Whittingdale.

We were joined by creators and IP rich businesses from across the diverse sectors who shared their unique stories of why Intellectual Property is key to their work and success.

Summer Reception

George Hollingbery, Minister of State for International Trade, delivered an encouraging speech on the importance of Intellectual Property to the UK's economy, culture and prosperity. He was clear on the need to protect the UK's world-leading position and secure a prosperous future for the UK's IP through Future Trade Deals

Our IP Champion Award went to the Crown Prosecution Service Specialist Fraud Division for their exceptional work and success in tackling IP crime. In the past three years the CPS Specialist Fraud Division has taken an active role by engaging with rights holders and with the Police Intellectual Property Crime Unit (PIPCU), to understand the nature of IP crime, and has developed strategies to take on cases that previously would have been dismissed as too difficult, risky or complex.

Thanks as ever will be going to the charismatic hosting of Pete Wishart MP, and to the the award winning and highly talented Rock Choir who entertained guests with two unique songs. We were also lucky enough to have renowned Magnum photographer Stuart Franklin to capture the event with some great photos.

With many thanks to all of our supporters and reception sponsors: British Toy and Hobby Association, Motion Picture Association and Design and Artists Copyright Society
